"I'll be upfront — when our co-op board was collecting bids to renovate the hallways across all 32 floors of our building, Cresco came in at a higher number than the other contractors. The board went with a cheaper option to save money. About two months later, we were calling Sal back. The contractor we chose simply didn't stand behind his work — quality issues, missed commitments, and eventually the board made the decision to cut ties and bring Cresco in to take over the project properly. The full scope — new wallpaper, carpet, and door hardware on every single floor — took 11 months from start to finish. That's a massive undertaking in a fully occupied residential building, and the way Sal and his team handled it was genuinely impressive. Residents were always kept informed, the crew was professional and respectful on every floor, and the standard of work never wavered whether they were on the 2nd floor or the 32nd. "We called on Cresco Construction to repair & repaint walls and ceilings in our UWS apartment in order to get it into saleable shape, and with the new coat of paint, the difference once they were done was night and day. Not only did they repair and replaster all holes and dings in the walls, but also repaired the baseboards which were cracked and warped with age. The crew were courteous and efficient, the work was done quickly but thoroughly, and the charges (labor and materials fully documented, by the way) were very fair and reasonable. Home renovations can be complicated and painful, but working with these guys was a real pleasure. Highly recommended!"
